No big deal. :) This doesn’t even look real does it? Remembering back, my heart was just constantly jumping out of my chest as I soaked in the glorious sights in front of me.
In a week and a half, we get the keys to our new home and renovations commence! Very exciting (and busy) times for us but we’re really looking forward to tackling this new pet project. Have a wonderful weekend and we’ll be back again soon!
Lavender Fields in Provence were in full bloom by the time we got there. We literally planned our entire trip so that Provence would fall near the end of June and we’d be able to see these fields in its full glory. It was truly breathtaking. I thought sunflower fields were the most beautiful fields until I saw lavender fields. They were endless for miles and they were just picture perfect. :)
It’s been a super busy week and this long weekend just came at a perfect time. :) We have no plans but having no plans is truly a rare occasion and a luxury these days, so I’m not complaining! I can’t believe it’s already August!
Anyhow, here’s another one of Paris, specifically of Avenue des Champs-Elysees! Beautiful street and fabulous for shopping. Paris is not ALL about the Eiffel Tower. :)
Paris is always a good idea. I loved Paris so much more than when I first visited in 2010. I had an itch for the Eiffel Tower today, so here’s one of many. Can’t wait to go through the rest and share them with you. :)
We watched a horror film called It Follows yesterday and then Insidious 3 the day before. Both were very good for those who are horror film fans! It’s hard to find good scary movie these days, so we were pleasantly surprised with these two! And just like that, the weekend is over. Back to the grind tomorrow!
More of Tuscany here! We saw this beautiful chapel from a distance, sitting on top of a hill, sandwiched between cypress trees, and had to get as close to it as possible. It’s called the Madonna di Vitaleta Chapel. The photograph could barely do it justice though – it was truly a gorgeous sight. Newly listed at our shop! :) Happy weekend!
Boxy haystacks? I’m in! Taken in Tuscany, also known to me as a countryside lover’s paradise. The best there is. I truly can’t wait to get to all my other Tuscany shots. Just trying to spread the love a little bit at a time. :) This is newly listed at the shop! Hope everyone had a nice weekend – boy was it HOT.
Let’s take a little break from the horses and move on to these window shutters. My husband will never understand why I take photographs of beautifully tattered window shutters — he thinks they’re hideous, particularly the tattered ones that you see in places like Italy and Portugal. But to me, they’re gorgeous! Beauty is certainly subjective and in the eye of the beholder. :)
Tonight’s post is a bit of a personal update! Thought I’d share a shot of my husband and I in southwest, Iceland! These photographs are never quite perfect when taken by a stranger but we make the best of it. :)
I am going back to work tomorrow after an amazing year with my MBA journey. It has truly been an incredible past 12 months and I wouldn’t trade it for the world, but now I am just ecstatic to go back to work! And this lucky girl will be managing the Old El Paso brand, which couldn’t be any more fun! Who doesn’t love Mexican food? :)
Also, in about a month’s time, our new home renovations will be commencing! The second half of 2015 is going to be a seriously exciting time. It might be even more exciting than the first half and that’s a crazy thing to say given that the first half of this year has been INCREDIBLE. Life is so good; God is so good to us and we count our blessings daily.
