A sneak peek of a small engagement photoshoot this past weekend with these two love birds who are tying the knot in June. And they’re doing it with style in Jamaica. As hippie as this sounds, I’m obsessed with love. It is the single greatest emotion in the world.

Alive and kickin’. Just being a busy bee. I’ve delivered my first MBA presentation today and it was a fun piece of cake. I’m just about done with my first accounting assignment, too. These deliverables are putting on some good pressure and is making this whole thing come to life. Love it. And best of all, I still manage to find time for SUITS. :)

This picture is not inspired by my schooling or anything although it may appear to be. I just happened to swing by the little Britannia Schoolhouse on Hurontario and snapped a photo of this cute mailbox. I have a thing for mailboxes, similar to the thing I have for lighthouses and windmills.

Blogging has slowed down because I just don’t have the time. I’m testing out some amazing Canon L series lenses this weekend though, so I’ll have a bunch of new photos to share (when I get around to it of course). I literally have a million and one things to do and I need to have two of me at this rate.

Tomorrow is my birthday and I’m spending most of the day studying and then going out on a double date with my man, my best friend, and her man. I’m really looking forward to it. I’ll be 26 years young and 26 will be the most ambitious and exciting year yet!

Once upon a time, years and years ago, it was just a place for music videos. Now, among many other things, it’s a place for tutorials. For just about everything in life. Including accounting! I’ve been watching incredibly helpful accounting YouTube tutorials all weekend (wow, I need a life). It’s like having a virtual tutor for free.

I received an Etsy order from Norway today. I love orders that come in from outside of North American borders. :) We’re at 462 sales. My study breaks consist of SUITS. I’m completely hooked on the show and it makes me sad that I’ve gone through one season and have one more season left to go. Just when you get really hooked, they hang you out to dry.

This stuff is so complicated. Kudos to all you CAs, CMAs, and CGAs. I don’t know how you did it.

I went to the dreaded dentist this afternoon. Does anyone actually like going to the dentist? Good lord. Apparently, my teeth are starting to shift from the position locked in by braces that I had 10 years ago. They suggested a special retainer that would hold my teeth in place. I asked how much. They said $1,000. I said, yeah, no thanks. I also stopped by a little gem in the suburbs to shoot around and to take a break from school work. I love Spring (and Summer). When there is green grass, blue skies, and blooming flowers, life is extra fabulous.

I’m getting hooked on SUITS. Harvey Spector is the bomb. They’ve done a phenomenal job glamorizing a career in law. Makes you want to become a lawyer. Actually, the show makes me want to wear a sexy suit and comb my hair back 70’s style with a modern twist like Harvey over here (if I were a man).

Here’s a video recording of Stubborn Love performed live by the Lumineers at the Sound Academy. I didn’t know how to switch to video mode with the Powershot SX500 IS quickly enough, so I went with my iPhone for this one. Quality is terrible but it did the job. I never buy music (shame on me) but I will pick up the Lumineers’ album tomorrow to show my support.

Despite a standing concert that made it very, very, very hard for me to see anything other than people’s shoulders, the music trumped it all. I’m also so fortunate to have Chris to lift me above the crowd every few minutes. No one else had THAT view. :) AND, halfway through the concert, a stage was set up in the middle of the floor among the fans and that’s when I caught another break because the stage happened to be set up right in front of me and suddenly, I could see clearly!

Amazing, amazing concert. BEAUTIFUL music. I love them so much. It blows my mind when bands can sound even better live than they do in their records. Enjoy the photos with call-outs to a few of my favourites from their album. I have to study otherwise I would’ve posted a video, too. Maybe tomorrow. The PowerShot SX500 IS did us proud (it’s wild how I literally don’t know how to work a simple point-and-shoot camera because of being accustomed to a DSLR.)

Tomorrow night is the Lumineers concert at the Sound Academy! I am test driving the Canon PowerShot SX500 IS only because ‘professional cameras’ are not allowed, so I have to leave my baby (that is my 7D) behind. I am so excited though and can’t wait to sing along to the best folk rock band ever. By the way, Canon is holding a 40th Anniversary Sale (celebrating 40 years in Canada) – I suggest you check it out and get yourself a hot deal on photo gear.

Chris surprised me with tickets to the Lumineers concert at the Sound Academy this Friday. I am so excited!!! I was in love with this band long before they were exploited by the radio. They have the most nostalgic sound in the world.

It’s amazing how your brain’s processing power deteriorates as the day goes by. Right about now my comprehension is hurting and I am having to read a single sentence 5 or 6 times before understanding, (lol). Should we call it a night? I’d say. I’m on Chapter 3 and things are getting complicated.

These are pretty things from one of my favourite shops on Queen West, The Paper Place.
