Ever had that? It’s not delicious. I’ll leave London alone for a while after this post. I took some neat winter photography last weekend, so we’ll be moving on to those. I’m too tired to write anything else, so I’ll just leave you with Home by Phillip Phillips.
This is my favourite London capture so far. Right on Oxford Street. Reminds me of this picture on Yonge and Dundas in Toronto.
I am exhausted and am still being forced to go to the gym. Are we really doing this again? I sign up for a gym membership every year and am a good girl for about a month. After that, forget about it. I’m so disciplined with so many things but the gym and I just don’t agree. Anyway, my boyfriend is convinced that it will be different this time around since he’ll be forcing me to go and will be working on bite-sized routines for me. We’ll see. :)
More of London. That red transit bus should’ve been the double-decker bus following behind it. London is known for their red double-decker buses (and red telephone booths of course). Coincidentally, John Lennon by Arkells is on replay. Brings my thoughts to the Beatles and naturally, to England.
I’m being invited left, right, and centre to set up shop at all sorts of art shows but don’t have the time and energy. How come it feels like there isn’t enough time in a day when I’m only 25 years old with no kids? These years that were meant to be the young, free, and easy years aren’t quite like that. I feel so busy all the time. I find myself dumbfounded by those who have kids to tend to on top of life and 62 other things.
I have a TON of London, England photography that I haven’t shared and have just started to dabble with. Post processing photos with flat, grey clouds take a bit more time and effort and most shots from London would reflect just that, since it’s a place of rain and fog. That would explain why these photos have been abandoned for as long as they have. Nonetheless, here’s the London Eye and Big Ben in the back.
The one that’ll bring this series home is ‘I left my heart in San Francisco‘ because that’s the actual name of the song. I’ve been trying to get to San Francisco for several years now but always get sidetracked with a bigger trip. The priority trip this year is Jamaica because my boyfriend’s brother is tying the knot there. That means that, for San Francisco to happen, we’d need to expand the travel budget by shrinking some other budget. We’re not big spenders to begin with though – we’re homebodies and we’re not materialistic. There is nothing I’d rather spend my money on than travelling. I’ll never have even the slightest desire for a $4,000 LV purse but I’ll always lust over a $4,000 trip to some place on a map. I can picture my San Francisco photo collection and I know intimately all the shots that I’m after and I know they’d be instant favourites on Etsy. Soon, San Francisco, soon. It’ll be worth the wait.
The loveliness of Paris seems somehow sadly gay
The glory that was Rome is of another day
I’ve been terribly alone and forgotten in Manhattan
I’m going home to my city by the Bay I left my heart in San Francisco
Homesense and Winners ordered hundreds more canvas prints – it is so exciting. This shall never lose its lustre. I need to swing by one of these days and see if I can find my stuff. My Etsy shop is at 420 sales – people have been shopping for Valentine’s Day. :) Business is great. My job is great. My family is great. My friends are great. My man is extra great. What more could a girl want? I’m just a lucky frosted flake!
“Leafs get stonewalled by Miller yet again but pushed to the bitter end and made it an exciting game for the home fans. “That’s tonight’s hockey report brought to you by my boyfriend (lol).
The beautiful Canon Experience Centre. It’s called the Image Square and the lucky Calgarians got to have their first dance with it at the grand opening event on Tuesday. If you’re ever in Calgary, this is the latest must-see.
I’ve accidentally disappeared for a week. Just when you think you’ve knocked something off your list (like the GMAT) and life is about to slow down a bit, it doesn’t. Between the new (and awesome) job and graduate school applications, rest is nowhere to be found. I will make a point to say that I love my new team – a good team is more than half the battle.
I will be in Calgary on business next week to see the first ever Canon Experience Centre. It’s going to be amazing – the team has worked so hard for over a year on this baby, and she is surely going to be a beauty. I will bring my camera and post photos.
Tonight I’d like to leave you with Stubborn Love by The Lumineers. Their music melts my heart – I’m too tired to explain something that’s as difficult to explain as the beautiful nostalgic sound that flows out of this band. But I urge you: check them out (unless your taste in music is that of mainstream top 40 tunes that I don’t like. Then we may not agree on music. But that’s okay.)
