I know this isn’t a photograph but I have to post it. I was supposed to get my business cards printed yesterday. I tried Staples because there was one close to work. I almost had a temper trantrum talking to the sales reps there. You know when you know more than the sales person? And when the sales person knows just the bare minimum of what they’re selling? Holy crap. But that’s expected in most retail-level stores because those employees just don’t care enough about their jobs.
Anyway, if you want lame business cards, go to Staples. Otherwise, go find a real printing house. So I left fuming because I hate when you expect to get something done and it goes the complete opposite way. I called 411 and asked for the next closest printing shop. The Printing Team came up just about a three minute drive from where I was, so I went there. Lo and behold a real printing shop! The gentleman who assisted me confused me with loads of different options. When you’ve got me confused about what I want, then you know what you’re talking about! Yay!
Turns out that my card’s design, the combination of colours, and my choice of card stock was going to bring the price up to $300. So, I had to tweak my design to bring it back down. This is the final version and I am dropping it back off to The Printing Team on Monday – $125 for 250 cards VS Staples’ moronic business cards services at $90 for 250 cards, getting none of what you ask for other than their standard this and standard that options.
I also got a 16gb white iphone 3GS and I was playing with it all night last night, which explains my missed post for October 22nd.
I am also selling my Canon Rebel XSI (kit) for $350 and upgrading to a 60D in the next month or so. If interested, email me!
