Well, not really. I just tried to add some practicality like a “View All Photos” link at the bottom right of each post that takes you to a page on my Flickr album that shows the entire collection of A PHOTO A DAY photos all in one page. No big.

We met with our travel agent today to plan our summer eurotrip. A proposal is on its way. :)

What’s on the radar? Madrid, Barcelona, French Riviera, Swiss Alps, Florence, Rome, Athens. This summer will be my third time in the Swiss Alps and second time in Florence and Rome. I am dangerously in love with Switzerland and Italy, so it’s a done deal.

After this round of eurotripping, I think I’m done with Europe. Next summer is a different continent.

I thought I’d post a mood-booster, considering the slushy nightmare outside. There is hope, my friends. Summer is up and coming. It’ll be velvet blue skies and feathered green grass before you know it.

I got my old school windmill fix last summer in Amsterdam, Netherlands. There is no better place for windmills. The other fix that I need is my lighthouse fix. I don’t remember where I heard this and I could’ve heard completely wrong, but New Jersey is the place to go for lighthouses? Should that be a road trip destination this summer? Or I bet the east coast over in Halifax has plenty, too. That’s a much longer drive though. But I will go any distance to get a photograph that I need.

Suddenly, I have a raging desire for a loft. A house can come after. Check this out. And this. And this. And this. I like the ones that are a little grungy with industrial brick walls. Sooo beautiful and I’m sooo in lust. Savings detour. You know what tipped me over? Lila’s loft from Dexter. Worst case scenario, if it makes more sense to go right into a house, we can just work with a Bungalow (for the single floor space), then build brick walls into the interior, what say you? Or win the lottery and buy both a loft and a house. I think I like that one better.

This blog would never be complete without all the photos I’ve taken prior to starting A Photo A Day. I’ve been posting old photos because they deserve to be on this blog and it completes the big picture. I’ve been telling myself to dig them up and post them for quite some time now but it’s only in the past week that I’ve actually started to do it. It almost feels a little like sh*t because it makes me want to go back in time and relive these photographs.

This one was taken at a BBQ hosted by the President at my old company. The BBQ is held at his home + ranch in Montreal every summer and we hop on a limo bus to get there. It’s a GREAT time. This horse is one of his many beautiful horses. I wish I could say it was mine – I’ve always wanted one! I’d ride a horse to work and he would be my new commute mobile.

Dexter was flawless until Season 2, Episode 6. He cheated on Rita and I’m so, sooo disappointed. What a downer! He lost all appeal after that! They say that he’ll win me over again soon but I say, I have no mercy for cheating and poor judgment and self-control. But I am excited to see how he redeems himself. I trust that there will come an outrageously compelling reason to love him again because I hate him right now. In real life, cheaters don’t deserve a second chance. But since it’s just TV, we can be more lenient.

Welcome to the last day of February. Looks like we’re whipping through 2011, too.

More oldie but goodie. I’m going through old photos and editing them because there are so many undiscovered good ones that need to be loved and acknowledged. But these photos are making my heart ache for the summer more than I’d like.

I’ve been editing select high resolution photos all weekend to prep them for my portfolio feature at Canon. Found this one, taken back in the Spring of 2009. I love it! This was a photoshoot my group and I did for our capstone Marketing course a few months before we passed it with flying colours and graduated. We were working with the marketing team at Bluenotes to develop a marketing plan involving a Bluenotes Look Book, inspired by LookBook.nu. So we sported Bluenotes from head to toe and took photos all over Toronto. For me, it was an excuse to squeeze photography into a marketing project. Ugh, I miss school so much.
